Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: more than 6 months post-stroke independent gait possible over 10 m without assistive devices Korean Mini-Mental State Examination >24 point insufficient ankle dorsiflexion during the swing phase of gait no orthopedic problems involving the lower extremities

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: medical problems other than neurological lesions that affected the gait bilateral affected limbs
