Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Age 18 to 80 years-old - Patients who have arterial and central venous catheter at the time of enrollment - Patients who are applied the mechanical ventilator - Patients who have stable vital sign and no more need for continuous blood pressure monitoring

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - patients who have thrombocytopenia (less than 20,000 /L) or bleeding tendency which hinder arterial vascular catheter insertion - Patients who do not need any blood gas analysis test during intensive care unit management - Patients who expected to decease within 24 hours in intensive care unit - Patients who do not have arterial and central venous catheter at the time of enrollment - With out informed consent - Patients with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) - Patients who are not applied mechanical ventilator at the time of enrollment - Patients who with unstable vital sign
