Interventions

Procedure/Surgery : -Group 1: Receiving acupressure intervention for 30 minutes at 21 proximal acupoints on the neck and shoulder two times a week for 4 weeks
Maintaining pressure with the fingers about 10 seconds each time and repeated 5 times for each acupoint. -Group 2: No treatment for 4 weeks & paid with cash 20000 Won (about $18) *And then, volunteers
Disposable needles ((0.25 × 30mm) inserted at 22 acupoints on the neck and shoulder for 15 minutes

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for study participation were women aged 40-60 years having neck pain more than 12 weeks with moderate and severe pain (visual analogue scale [VAS] scores = 30.0mm) without radiating pain; currently not on the medication or treatment related to pain

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were pregnancy, infectious disease, spondylolisthesis, spondylitis, cancer or neurological disease
