Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients scheduled for elective surgery requiring tracheal intubation for general anesthesia were enrolled in the study. Patients between 18 and 80 year old with ASA PS 1-2 who consented to participate this clinical study were included in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if anatomical abnormalities in the neck, larynx, or pharynx, body mass index = 30kg/cm,2 or were at risk of aspration. Patients with an expected duration of intubation shorter than 1 h or longer than 6 h or who can not answer clearly to questions were also excluded.
