Drug : A. Empirical therapy group (Active comparator) 1) 7 days sub-group: Without DPO-PCR test, a standard triple therapy including pantoprazole 40 mg twice a day, clarithromycin 500 mg twice a day

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) H. pylori positive on urea breath test 2) men or women at least 19 years old and less than 80 years old who can undergo endoscopic examination voluntarily 3) who have no history of antibiotics consumption within 1 month before enrollment 4) who have no history of acid suppressant within 2 weeks before enrollment 5) who agree and sign on informed consents after explanation on the purpose and contents of the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) previous history of H. pylori eradication 2) previous surgery for upper gastrointestinal tract 3) high risk of bleeding 4) severe gastroenterologic diseases on endoscopic examination and need immediate management other than H. pylori eradication 5) adverse events on drugs which will be prescribed in this study 6) pregnant women, breastfeeding women 7) alcoholics, drug addicts 8) who cannot undergo endoscopic examination 9) who does not agree on informed consents
