Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia by 4th edition of WHO criteria 19 years of age or greater Patients will receive intensive induction therapy Female patients of childbearing potential must have negative pregnancy test results at entry. Ability to understand the study objectives and willingness to sign written consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Have other active malignancy Pregnant of lactating women Patients who have no desire to participate in the study Isolated extramedullary myeloid sarcoma Diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) (FAB classification: M3).
