Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age =18 years and = 80 years 2. Acute traumatic brain injury; Diffuse axonal injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage (non-aneurysmal rupture); intracranial or intraventricular hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, epidural hematoma (either primary or anticoagulants-associated) 3. Moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI): Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) of 3 – 12
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Post-anoxic coma; status epilepticus without underlying brain injury; central nervous system (CNS) infections (community-acquired; hospital-acquired; ventriculitis; post-operative) 2. Known previous neurological disease, causing significant cognitive and/or motor handicap 3. Hemorrhage due to arterio-venous malformation (AVM), cavernous malformation (CM), cerebral aneurysm rupture or brain tumor 4. Hypertensive ICH or IVH 5. Pregnancy or Nephrotic syndrome diagnosed patient 6. DNR (do not resuscitate) orders
