Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients with chronic lateral instability of the ankle joint diagnosed with subjective symptoms and objective diagnosis (more than 5 mm displacement on anterior draw test and more than 10 degrees of talus tilt angle) (2) patients who require surgery due to lateral instability of the ankle joint ((i) patients who do not improve conservative treatment of 3 months of medication and rehabilitation, (ii) patients with givingway and persistent pain, (iii) Patients who cannot maintain their ankle activity at the previous level for more than 6 months) (3) Patients who are expected to be followed up for 2 years after surgery (4) Patients who can have MRI before surgery and 1 year after surgery (5) Active patient who more than Tegner scale six (6) Patients who agreed to the agreement

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Fracture history on affected ankle joint (2) Past surgical history of affected ankle (3) Deformation of the ankle alignment due to arthritis, congenital diseases, etc. (4) History of other musculoskeletal and nervous system diseases
