Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: chronic periodontitis with probing pocket depth >4 mm, completed phase I therapy, and required periodontal flap surgery in more than 2 quadrants

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients undergoing steroid or antibiotic treatment within previous 3 months - Uncontrolled DM - Agressive periodontitis - Smokers - Those exhibiting signs of delayed healing (immunosuppresant, immune disease)
