Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery at the Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inadequate indication for interscalene block (Coagulation disorder, local infection of block site, Diaphragmatic paralysis, Allergy to local anesthetics) Neuropathic disorderSevere cardiopulmonary disease Systemic steroid use Chronic opioids use Stomach ulcer Uncontrolled Diabetes psychiatric disorders, pregnancy, severe obesity (body mass index > 35 kg/m2), previous shoulder surgery, and an inability to understand pain scoring or the instructions for intravenous patient-controlled analgesia
