Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients between 20 and 80 years of age 2) Patients with 0 or 1 of ECOG (Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group) performance status 3) Patients with ASA (American Society of Anesthesiology) Score I - III 4) Patients with operable gastric cancers with laparoscopic distal subtotal gastrectomy according to preoperative examinations 5) Patients who have been informed of the purpose and process of the clinical study and who have signed consent form approved by the IRB to voluntarily participate in the study. But, patients older than 70 years shall be included in this study only when their understanding and willingness to participate in the study is repeatedly verified after checking ? when they fully understood about the study (e.g. the nature of the study and expected study results ? when they are logical enough to deal with data about the study ? when they have an ability to clearly express whether they wish to participate in the study or not. Appropriate protective measures also need to be installed, for instance obtaining patients’ consent in the presence of their family member or legal representative.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients diagnosed with distant metastasis by preoperative examinations 2) Patients with a history of gastrectomy 3) Patients with complications of gastric cancer (obstruction, perforation, and active bleeding) before the surgery 4) Patients lacking communication skills or being pregnant or planning to get pregnant 5) Patients with active synchronous malignancy other than gastric cancer
