Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) admitted with a major diagnosis of sprain and strain of lumbar spine (S3350) caused by a traffic accident 2) aged above 18 years 3) acute stage within 7 days of onset from the traffic accident 4) findings of MCs on magnetic resonance image (MRI) of lumbar spine confirmed by a radiologist 5) the hospitalization period of 9 days to 14 days

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) diagnosed with lumbar disc herniation (protrusion or above) or lumbar spinal stenosis 2) existence of fracture, spondylolisthesis or active lumbar radiculopathy 3) whose questionnaires were not completed
