Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Gastric cancer patients, who underwent distal subtotal gastrectomy and were later confirmed as having stage I gastric cancer based on the sixth edition of the Union for International Cancer Control classification, between January 2008 and December 2010 - The complete dataset of QoL and body measurements (height and weight) at preoperative and postoperative 1- and 5-year periods

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with certain medical conditions or co-morbidities that could have influences on their QoL Patients with preexisting weight loss concerns having diminished preoperative QoL regarding low weight
