Drug, Procedure/Surgery, Behavioral : Prior to induction of anesthesia, 3 mg/kg of aminophylline or isotonic saline was administered to patients in Groups A and C, respectively.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Status I or II, aged 30 to 70 years, female patients who were scheduled for brief obstetric day care surgery (including a loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) or endometrial biopsy (EB))

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic, renal, or hepatic disorder or who were taking psychoactive drugs were excluded from this study.
