Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The specific inclusion criteria were enrolment in the freshman course, having consumed alcohol, no previous receipt of problem-drinking prevention education, and the ability to understand the purpose of the study and provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were no previous alcohol consumption, inability to participate in the study, missing at least one session of education, and arrival at a session more than 10 minutes late or early departure from a session
