Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants were enrolled in this study if 6 months or more had passed since onset of a unilateral hemispheric first stroke; the ability to walk at least 10 m was required (regardless of need for assistance), the required mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score was at least 24 points, and All patients were diagnosed with a chronic stroke as defined by computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: hemiparetic patients with a cognitive, visual, or cardiorespiratory disorder (including cardiac pacemaker placement, heart failure, and arrhythmia), orthopedic intervention, hydrophobia, skin disease and undergoing botulinum toxin injections within the prior year were excluded. Also, Patients with a pulse rate =100 beats per minute(bpm), a systolic blood pressure = 180 mmHg, and a diastolic blood pressure = 100 mmHg were excluded.
