Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients suspected of having a lateral canal BPPV

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. multicanal BPPV (bilateral BPPV, combined involvement of other semicircular canal) 2. after head trauma 3. precise observation of positional nystagmus is difficult (congenital nystagmus, ocular problem) 4. accompanying ear disease or inner ear anomaly 5. neurologic symptom 6. otologic symptom 7. pregnancy 8. unable to make independent decisions and express themselves
