Interventions

Behavioral : The participants in HTG performed the following three kinds of combined exercise interventions for 90-120 min in 14.5&#37
O2 hypoxic environment. The combined exercise consists of aerobic exercise on a treadmill, aerobic exercise on a bicycle, and elastic resistance exercise. On the other hand, NTG performed the same com
) for a total of 12 weeks, three times a week. For aerobic exercise on a treadmill and a bicycle, all participants calculated the maximal heart rate (HRmax) using the Karbonen formula (206.9-[0.67×age
of HRmax (treadmill 30 min and bicycle 30 min, respectively). In addition, all old-age obese men performed elastic resistance training sessions consisted of front squat, incline chest press, seated ro
from 0, extremely easy to 10, extremely hard), which has been reported to correspond to exercise intensity levels ranging from 60&#37
to 70&#37
of 1 RM, with rest for 90 s per set. Elastic resistance training sessions were conducted for approximately 30-40 min.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study subjects were twenty-four obese old-aged men Korean (66.5±0.8 age). These men included who were not taking any medication and with >25 BMI (by Broca’s index) and low levels of activity who had not performed any kind of exercise over the last 6 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The study subjects were twenty-four obese old-aged men Korean (66.5±0.8 age). The participants with the following conditions were excluded from the study: any chronic diseases not under control; retinal laser treatment; history of acute myocardial infarction; joint replacement or fracture of the lower limb within the previous 6 months; severe cognitive disturbance.
