Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ? Diagnosed as a gastric cancer through preoperative evaluation ? Age: from 20 to 80 years old ? Adequate physical performance status (a) Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG) scale; 0 or 1 (b) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA); 1 to 3 ? No prior treatment of chemotherapy or radiation therapy against any malignancies ? Adequate organ functions defined as indicated below: (a) WBC 3000/mm3 – 12,000/mm3 (b) serum Hemoglobin > 8.0 g/dl (c) serum Platelet > 100 000/mm3 (d) serum AST, ALT < 100 IU/l ? Written signed informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ? Prior dysphagia related to esophageal disorder ? Prior gastric outlet obstruction ? Remnant gastric cancer ? Stage IV gastric cancer (AJCC 7th ed) ? Not performed R0 resection ? Active psychologic disorder ? Uncontrolled angina or myocardial infarction within 6 months of the trial ? Severe respiratory disease requiring continuous oxygen therapy ? Researcher’s judgement that the patients is no longer able to participate in the study
