Interventions

Drug : After assignment, all participants were blinded to the intervention and a clinical nurse assistant provided an unnamed bottle with saline only or mupirocin mixed with saline for each participan

mupirocin. Patients were instructed to use the bottle twice daily for 4 weeks.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Less than 18 years of age. 2. Provided written informed consent. 3. Duration of previous antibiotic usage: over 3 months. 4. known sinusitis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. More than 18 years of age. 2. Did not provide informed consent. 3. Had a sinusitis history that was well controlled by antibiotics. 4. History of previous sinus surgery.
