Drug : The ELG group received lidocaine 1.5 mg/kg at the end of the surgery and esmolol 0.5 mg/kg when they began to voluntarily move after turning off the gas. The LG group received lidocaine 1.5 mg

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eighty-four healthy children aged 3-9 years and of American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA) physical status I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with cardiac disorders, respiratory diseases, or mental disorders were excluded from the study.
