Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women scheduled for laparoscopic benign gynecologic surgery age between 19 and 65 years, American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status (ASAPS) classification 1,2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status (ASAPS) classification 3 or higher, inability to accurately express their pain, any concomitant diseases requiring upper abdominal surgery such as cholecystectomy or adhesiolysis, past history of shoulder or lung surgery, chronic shoulder problems or epigastric pain, and lung diseases such as emphysema or pneumothorax.
