Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) chronic knee OA patients with pain duration more than 3 months 2) patients who had radiological OA grade more than Kellgren–Lawrence grade 2 3) patients aged 50–80 years 4) refractory knee OA pain that was not alleviated by analgesics, visco-supplementation, and physiotherapy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they had following as 1) acute knee pain (more less 3 months) 2) prior knee surgery 3) connective tissue diseases that affected the knee 4) sciatic pain 5) steroid injection therapy during the previous 3 months 6) allergic response to local anethetics or steroid 7) serious neurological or psychiatric disorders 8) used an anticoagulant
