Procedure/Surgery : First, we will explain the extended lateral approach. Starting at the posterior of the fibula, An L-shaped incision will be made to expose the lateral wall of the calcaneus. Effort

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Skeletally mature patients = 18 years of age - Sanders type 2 calcaneal fractures. closed - Undergoing surgical treatment - Ability to understand and agree to informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients < 18 years of age - Open calcaneal fractures - Previous calcaneus abnormality or injury - Patients with concomitant severe brain & spine injury - Unable to understand or agree to informed consent
