Drug : After sterilization of the skin around the clavicle, the aseptically wrapped ultrasonic probes were placed in the supraclavicular fossa and the subclavian artery and brachial plexus were identi
lidocaine 2cc, 5cm insulating needle was inserted with in-plane technique and placed in the brachial plexus and 0.5&#37
ropivacaine was injected at a predetermined dose.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients (American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status 1 - 3, 20 - 80 years old ) scheduled for elective shoulder surgery of rotator cuff tear

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: contraindication to regional anesthesia allergy to study medication neurologic deficits in the operated extremity chronic alnagesics consumption pregnancy
