Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) diagnosis of a first-ever stroke (4 wks to 6 mo) 2) supratentorial lesions 3) 20 years or older 4) significant ambulation deficits (Functional Ambulation Category <3) 5) able to follow a three-step command (Minimental State Examiniation>10) 6) able to perform rehabilitation intervention at least 5 days per week for 4-weeks.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) underwent therapy associated with rehabilitation for the purpose of motor function improvement within 30 days before the start of this study 2) severe spasticity (modified Ashworth scale [MAS] >2) in the affected lower-extremity with a range of motion<80% 3) metal implants in the brain, implanted electronic devices in the body 4) difficulty in walking due to orthopedic problems (Kellegren-Lawrence grade >3) 5) ejection fraction less than 30% due to severe heart disease or diagnosed with unstable angina 6) body mass index (BMI) more than 30
