Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiology physical status classification I and II, 19~64 aged, complicated pneumothorax (persistent air leak, hemothorax, failure to lung re-expansion, bilateral pneumothorax), visible blebs on computed tomography, or ipsilateral recurrent episodes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: first attack without complications, suspected significant pleural adhesion on radiology, planned surgery for open thoracotomy, patient with an ASA physical status classification of 3 or 4, patients who refused to participate
