Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Male and female adults over 18 years of age. (2) Diagnosis of Hwabyung by Hwabyung Diagnostic Interview Schedule (HBDIS). (3) Willingness to participate and to sign the informed consent form. (4) No problem on communication.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients who is suspected of having Hwabyung symptoms due to abnormal thyroid function. (2) Patients who have a past history or current history of serious psychiatric disorders such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, or those taking mood stabilizers (lithium, etc.) or antipsychotic drugs. (3) If the subject are taking antidepressants, anxiolytics, hormones and other drugs due to Hwabyung, Dosage was changed within the past month (4) Those who have been treated with oriental medicine or psychotherapy for relieving Hwabyung symptoms within the last 14 days (5) Those who are high risk of suicide; based on suicide risk screening tool - Korean version (6) Those who cannot understand the contents of witten consent nor perform the clinical trial due to serious psychiatric conditions, mental retardation, mental disorders, mood disorders or other cognitive problems (7) A person who has a seriously unstable medical condition (based on the judgment of the doctor based on the results of history, current medical history, vital signs, etc.)
