Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) female adult patients with breast cancer without previous diagnosis of primary brain tumor or brain metastasis (2) diagnosis of mild to moderate Major depressive disorder based on the Structured Clinical Interview for Diagnositc and Statistical Manual of mental disorders-5(DMS-5) Disorders-Clinician Version (3) right-handed (4) no history of psychotropic medication during the last month except for hypnotics (benzodiazepine and Z-drugs)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) past or current episodes of any other psychiatric diagnosis other than major depressive disorder based on the Structured Clinical Interview for Diagnositc and Statistical Manual of mental disorders-5(DSM-5) Disorders-Clinician Version or severe medical illness other than cancer (2) previous diagnosis of primary brain tumor or brain metastasis (3) past or current substance abuse or dependence (4) current psychotropic medication use other than hypnotics (benzodiazepine and Z-drugs were not exclusive) (5) intelligence quotient (IQ) < 80 (6) history of head trauma (7) claustrophobia
