Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients, who are aged 20-59 years and to be scheduled for spine surgery in Severance Hospital, Seoul, Republic of Korea, are to be recruited.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who are anticipated to have difficulty for endotracheal intubation, presenting with upper respiratory infection or asthma, have a comorbidity of cardiovascular, cerebrovascular or neuronal, renal or endocrinologic abnormality, and are diagnosed with metastatic cancer, except for patients with well-controlled hypertension or diabetes with oral agents. Vulnerable subjects, such as pregnant women, illiteracy or foreigners, are also excluded.
