Interventions

Drug : Part 1. Midazolam 0.05 mg/kg is premedicated intramuscularly 30 min prior to the induction of anesthesia. After arrival at the operating room, standard patient monitoring devices are applied,
if a patient shows below 20 % changes of these hemodynamics, it is regarded as ‘no response’. If a patient has ‘response’, dose of intravenous oxycodone for subsequent patient is increased by 0.01 m

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who are scheduled to undergo elective surgery under general anesthesia required endotracheal intubation. Patients, aged between 20 to 65 years old, who were American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A. patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome, cor pulmonae, acute asthma or other obstructive lung disease B. cardiac arrhythmia C. severe decreased renal function (creatine clearance < 10 mL/min) D. moderate or severe hepatic failure E. patients with brain tumor, impaired mental state, increased intracranial pressure F. recent monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) taken patients G. BMI (body mass index) > 25% H above 15 second of intubation time.
