Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. severe bilateral osteoarthritis 2. Patients were included in the study following informed consent to bilateral operation and acceptance of two different surgical techniques in total knee arthroplasties.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. severe instability which needs ligament reconstruciton 2. history of rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, or infectious arthritis 3. neuronal disease or weakness of lower extremity 4. in treatment of cancer 5. history of computed tomographic exams within 6 months or more than 3 times 6. in pregnancy or having possibility of pregnancy 7. history of claustrophobia
