Procedure/Surgery : For patients randomized to receive rectus sheath block (RSB), the block was undertaken after the completion of surgery with maintaining the general anesthesia and surgical drapping

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II women patients, aged 20-60 years, scheduled for robotic assisted cholecystectomies under general anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: the presence of acute cholecystitis, previous history of abdominal surgery, allergy to local anesthetics, the body mass index (BMI) > 28 and evidence of infection around the proposed area of the rectus sheath block, pregnancy
