Interventions

Drug : After obtaining informed consent, patients scheduled for elective laparoscopy-assisted gastrectomy will be randomly allocated into either control group, low-dose ramosetron group, or high-dose
0 to 2 hours, 2 to 24 hours, 24 to 48 hours, 48 to 72 hours, and 72 to 96 hours.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients, aged 20 to 70, scheduled for elective laparoscopy-assisted gastrectomy American Society of Anesthesiologists class 1 or 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Functional gastrointestinal disease Medication affecting gastrointestinal motility Administration of antiemetic medication within 24 h before surgery Addiction to opioids Pregnancy or breast-feeding Body mass index =30 kg/m2 Additional operative procedures other than gastrectomy or gastrointestinal anastomosis Conversion to open gastrectomy Postoperative leakage at the anastomosis site Duration of operation >5 h Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus Severe cardiovascular, renal, or hepatic disease Inability to communicate
