Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: America Society of Anesthesiologist grade 1 or 2 patients scheduled for elective open rotator cuff repair surgery under general anesthesia, who have read and permitted to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients below 20 years or more than 80 years of age, patients presenting neurologic deficit at the upper extremities, chronic obstructive lung disease, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, patients with current cerebrovascular disease, infections or malignancy and patients who where otherwise considered inappropriate to participate in the study by the medical team.
