Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Female patients, aged 20–65 years and American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II, undergoing thyroidectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. history of motion sickness or PONV 2. diabetes mellitus or gastrointestinal disease 3. those who were smoker or menstruating, 4. taken antiemetics or steroids within 72 h prior to surgery
