Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients receiving open abdominal urologic surgery more than 3 hours in general anesthesia 2) elderly patients aged 65 years and more 3) American society of anesthsiologist physical status class 1 or 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) patients with clinically severe abnormal finding on the preoperative pulmonary function test 2) body mass index > 30 kg/m2 or <18.9 kg/m2 3) patients with clinically significant cardiopulmonary disease, or cerebrovascular disease 4) patients with esophageal varix secondary to liver cirrhosis, or other gastroesophageal disease on past medical history
