Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who have one or more family member(s) with diabetes mellitus - priority 1) high prevalence of diabetes mellitus in the family 2) the presence of GWAS results by Affymetrix Genome-Wide Human SNP Array 5.0 3) young age of the index patient 4) non-obese patients 5) hyperglycemia that needs to be controlled with insulin

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - the patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus - the subjects who did not give consent to this study
