Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study included health screen examinees who underwent height, body weight, blood pressure, blood chemistry and pure tone audiometry.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with a previous surgical history due to otologic disease, ototoxic drug use, head trauma, or conductive hearing loss were excluded. Also excluded were subjects who did not meet the pure tone audiometry (PTA) and blood test criteria, and subjects with asymmetric hearing loss, defined as a >20 dB imbalance between ears.
