Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: children had to be between 7 and 12 years of age and rank below the 25th percentile for height according to their age and gender at the time of screening as defined by the Korean national growth chart

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: children who (1) were being treated with GH; (2) had a known endocrinal disorder; (3) were undergoing treatment for other diseases (e.g., infection, tumor, etc); (4) were undergoing treatment for a chronic disease (e.g., kidney or liver disease, etc); or (5) were currently taking medications that may have hindered our evaluation of the efficacy of the supplementation.
