Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Aged 19~55 2)Rt handedness, graduated from highschool 3)Diagnosed as major depressive disorder, depressive disorder NOS, dysthimic disorder by the DSM-IV criteria 4)HAMD-17>=14 5)With ability to complete various questionnaires 6)Can understand the objective of the study and sign informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)history of having neuroleptics(antipsychoticsm antidepresseant, anticonvulsant, anxiolytics, anticholinergics) 2)history of physical illness affecting cognitive function such as brain trauma, mental retardation, neurologic disorders like Parkinson's disease. 3)history of abuse/dependence of alcohol/other substance 4)history of disability of visual and auditory function 5)clinically significant impairement or unstable state of general medical condition( renal/hepatic/ cardiovascular/respiratory/neurovascular/endocrine/immune system) 6)Severe physical illnesses threatening life 7)other psychiatric disorder on DSM-IV Axis I: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, schizophreniform disorder, psychotic disorder NOS) 8)history of organic mental disorder, epilepsy or other convulsive disorder 9)history of prescribing anticonvulasant 10)patients needed hospitalization due to the psychoatric condition other than depression 11)history of ECT for current depressive episode 12)Pregnancy or breastfeeding
