Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: subjects with type 2 diabetes visiting Asan Diabetes Center who will be prescribed the routine annual or biannual screening work up for diabetic vacular complications

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. age of less than 20 or more than 80 year 2. type 1 diabetes mellitus 3. subjects taking thiazolidinedione 4. who cannot perform the routine complication study due to severe underlying diseases 5. subjects who have history or prior cardiovascular diseases
