Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Endoscopic or Robot-Assisted Thyroidectomy 2) American society of Anesthesiologist physical class I-II 3) Aged 19-70 yrs 4) Informed consent 5) thyroid mass smaller than 4 cm in benign cases and smaller than 2 cm in potentially malignant cases without evidence of extracapsular soft tissue invasion or metastasis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) allergy with local anesthetics 2) Chronic user of opioids or analgesics 3) Previous thyroid or thoracic surgery 4) Obesity (BMI = 40 kg/m2) 5) patients who cannot understand pain scale (score) or hard to communicate 6) pregnancy or breast-feeding 7) hepatic or renal insufficiency (estimated glomerular filtration rate < 60 ml/ min/1.73 m2)
