Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Total hip replacement ASA physical status I, II preoperative hemoglobin > 12 g/dL absence of clinically significant coronary, pulmonary, renal, or liver disease absence of severe hypertension absence of infection and risk of bacteremia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ASA physical status III, IV, V Hematologic disease Anticoagulant medication Renal disease Pulmonary disease (pulmonary edema, effusion) Cardiovascular disease (coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure)
