Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients more than 20 yr scheduled for thoracotomy under general anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: emergency, infective disease within 1 month, use of opoid or steroid less than 1 month before surgery, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus,contraindication for dexamethasone use, severe renal or hepatic disease, preoperative ejection fraction < 30%, psychiatric disorder
