Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) class I or II patients, aged 18-60 years, undergoing elective laparoscopic colectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: : High risk patients for venous thromboembolism : febrile patients (> 37.5 ?) : patients taking anti-hypertensive drugs or vasdilators : patients with known thyroid disease or autonomic dysfunction
