Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. above 50 years of age 2. has a reliable caregiver who meets the participant at least once a week and was sufficiently familiar with the participant to provide the investigator with accurate information. 3.gives written informed consent 1.does not have subjective memory complaints 2. does not have any of 28 diseases or a history suggestive of a decrease in cognitive function (Christensen et al, 1991). 3. has score that is higher, or at most 1.5 standard deviation below, the mean scores of the respective age- and education-matched population on the Korean MMSE (K-MMSE) 4. Korean version of the Alzheimer disease 8 (K-AD8) 1. Memory complaint by subject or study partner 2. has score that is lower, or at most one standard deviation below, the mean scores of the respective age- and education-matched population on the Seoul Verbal Learning Test(SVLT) 3. has score that is higher, or at most 1.5 standard deviation below, the mean scores of the respective age- and education-matched population on the K-MMSE 4. Clinical Dementia Rating = 0.5. Memory Box score must be 0.5 or 1. 5. Functional performance sufficiently preserved. 6. No dementia 1. dementia by the criteria of DSM-IV 2. probable or possible Alzheimer’s Disease by NINCDS-ADRDA or probable or possible Vascular Dementia by ADDTC

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. any severe or unstable medical disease (i.e., unstable or severe asthma or cardiovascular disease, active gastric ulcer, severe hepatic or renal disease)that may have prevented the subject from completing all study requirements 2. clinically significant laboratory abnormalities such as an abnormal thyroid function test, abnormal low level of vitamin B12 or folate, or positive Venereal Disease Research Laboratory test 3. Major depression or psychosis 4. any history of drug or alcohol addiction for the past 10 years 5. any hearing or visual impairment that could disturb the efficient evaluation 6. Illeteracy
