Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Recipients undergoing scheduled liver transplantation, aged 20-70 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients are excluded if they have preexisting cerebral pathology including previous stroke and carotid artery stenosis. Patients are also excluded if cerebral oximetry is unavaiable at the time of analysis or has "poor signal quality" on the near-infrared spectroscopy monitor screen.
