Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with AIS who were admitted to 9 primary stroke centers in Korea between April 2008 and March 2009 were identified and patients with AF were selected.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The patients with other anticoagulation indication, such as valve disease, recent myocardial infarction and infective endocarditis were excluded.
