Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consecutive acute ischemic stroke patients admitted within 7 days with relevant ischemic lesion on diffusion weighted image and their stroke mechanism were adjudicated as small vessel occlusion, large artery disease and cardioembolism.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who were presribed anticoagulation and classfied to the other determined or undetermined type were excluded.
